We are absolutely HYPED to announce the arrival of the 4th edition of Rolling Hertz, an annual underground outdoor music and arts festival!

Prepare yourselves for an immersive experience amidst the breathtaking Cobb Valley Takaka, where the festival will unfold over four days and three nights. Taking place during Waitangi Weekend, from 6th - 9th of February, this is a great time for us to celebrate Aotearoa and all the amazing art, music, and community that we have.

Rolling Hertz is here to develop connections amongst individuals and nurture the growth of the underground NZ music scene with vibrant culture and community.

The gathering as always will have a dope asf and diverse lineup, featuring an ensemble of your favorite producers, DJs, headliners, and live acts hailing from every corner of New Zealand as well as a few cheeky internationals. With an extensive range of musical flavors, they are sure to satisfy every musical taste bud.

Including but not limited to DRUM AND BASS, DUBSTEP, PSYTRANCE, TECHNO, HOUSE, JUNGLE, HALFTIME, HIPHOP, LIVE ACTS

Beyond the sick beats and performances, the festival ambiance is more than entertainment. It is a spiritual realm where connections are forged, self-expression thrives, and respect for one another and ourselves leads the way. Prepare to be part of the magic as the sound waves pulsate through the air, fusing with the energy from within each soul, uniting us all in co-creation of the future.

For an unforgettable party, we blend together a variety of elements and talented teams to create the best experience possible, including…

SOUND SYSTEMS: We obviously care very much about sound and music, so to provide the best connection between artist and audience we select sound systems that deliver impeccable and immersive sound. Creating an engaging and vibrant soundscape, an auditory environment that's as memorable as the music itself.

STAGES: Expect the stages to be intricate and large, with a focus on using natural materials and local artists combined to create majestic pieces of art. (p.s - new mainstage design this year!!)

VISUALS AND LIGHTING: To elevate the nighttime vibe, our team of talented visual artists and lighting techs are dedicated to bring you a show to remember. Look forward to epic captivating shows and a unique visual experience. WORKSHOPS: Discover a range of diverse workshops that offer an immersive learning experience, allowing you to acquire valuable insights and skills.

MARKETS/STALLS: Food and coffee carts offering a range of replenishing items along with vegan and ethical options. The market zone will have a large variety of offering including clothes, trinkets, tattoos, (bring cash). Fresh and healthy drinking water will be on site - bring ya water bottles!

PERFORMERS/LIVE ART: Amplifying the festivals creative energy is the ART, from live fire performers to mural artworks and live paintings bringing the festival to life.

CHILL ZONES: Shaded areas, daytime activities, dancefloor shade sails, and chill zones to relax in.

SAFETY: For your well-being and security, Psycare, medics, and a diligent security team are committed to ensuring the smooth and safe execution of the event

LOCATION: We are so privileged and grateful to have the amazing Cobb Valley as our stomping grounds. With surroundings of native bush and lush grass, accompanied by an awa/river flowing right next to site that you can swim in - let’s make sure we take care of the whenua by being eco conscious. Free camping + toilets are included in your ticket

LEAVE NO TRACE To ensure that we individually do our part in taking care of the environment so that we can party here for years to come, we have a strict PACK IN PACK OUT policy. This looks like:

- Everything you bring into the event must leave with you. Rubbish bags will be handed out at the gate

-Bring no glass into the event, everyone should be able to walk around bare feet

-NO DOGS. We love your friendly furry pets too, unfortunately this isn’t the place for them for multiple reasons.
